Wrote that congratulations for this beginning of open source adoption.
IP/PBX = Internet Video Phones with click to call and click to videocall for free call as https://www.linphone.org/ at least for EU politicians.
And better if it is also for citizens with open source video conference and multi conference powered by Asterisk, Jitsi, Apache openmeetings etc instead of proprietary Zoom MS Teams Google etc.
And desktop GNU/Linux (or Steam Deck) for EU offices.
@EU_Commission That's great. And a little surprising. Generally the EU regulation has been... Let's just say sub-optimal when it comes to the internet. The upcoming banner additions to the web seem like they will make the www even worse than it is now with the cookie banner inferno, which helps achieve nothing but combined billions of man-hours wasted on clicking nonsensical notifications that are usually not up to spec anyway.
EU Voice is the official ActivityPub microblogging platform of the EU institutions, bodies and agencies (EUIs). Together with EU Video, it is part of an alternative social media pilot program proposed, and provided by the European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS).
